I lost my Dad suddenly in October of 2021, it was an extremely complicated situation, and Jenn made the process bearable. She was flexible, kind, and extremely supportive. My family was a disaster and she did everything in her power to help us stay organized (from over 1,000 miles away) and later have a service for my father. I am so thankful for her! Everyone we encountered at the funeral home was welcoming during our visits and the service.

Our 52 year old son, Tom, passed away last week and I can’t put into words how wonderful it was working with Kathleen Shirley to plan his funeral. She was so gracious and right on top of things. She seemed to know all the right things to do and say. We have received comments from so many people about what a wonderful it was and we owe most of that to Kathleen and the rest of the Terry staff.

We all will have to deal with death and dying at some point in our lives… Thankfully all won’t have to deal with an unexpected, tragic and horrific death of a loved one as my children and I had to deal with in mid October.
There is no instruction manual or guide to walk you through the process of finding a funeral home/services that are reasonable and compassionate over the phone from over a 1000 miles away.
I/we will be forever grateful that Jennifer (Jenn) Bussetti from the James J. Terry Funeral Home answered the phone that day! This was the 3rd funeral home I had called and to say I felt helpless and hopeless because of the emotional and financial toll this unexpected tragedy was having on my family is an understatement.
Jenn listened. She was professional, calm and collected while showing empathy and compassion for what we were going through. Jenn was honest. She explained our options and did not take advantage of us financially or otherwise, during one of the most venerable times in our life. Jenn’s dedication to her profession went way above and beyond any expectations I had or experienced in the past. Jenn was ALWAYS available and very attentive to every little detail that my children and I felt were important.
There are many crazy stereotypes out there of funeral directors/morticians from tv shows/movies, which is very unfortunate. Jenn and the other staff at the James J. Terry Funeral Home shatter those stereotypes!
I/we will be forever grateful to Jenn and I truly consider her a friend now. Thank you for everything!

What a blessing the James J. Terry funeral was for me with the passing of my beloved parents. From the very beginning until the last goodbye, they made the journey so much easier for me. I thank you for all that you did for my family. You are the very best and I am so grateful to everyone!

When my 21 year old son passed due to an auto accident in February, I had no idea how to set up services and what options I had. I called James J. Terry Funeral Home and Jenn was wonderful! She explained our options and referred us to Northwood Cemetery. All of the staff was so friendly and compassionate. Jenn was my rock through the whole process as I was still in disbelief that my son was gone and could not make many of the needed decisions. Jenn was very creative and had wonderful ideas to make my son's funeral exactly how he would have wanted it. Jenn definitely went above and beyond what was expected. Jenn was so kind and compassionate. She treated us like family, not just a client needing services. My family is very grateful for the staff and Jenn.

I just can’t tell you how appreciative we are and how thankful to have found you to handle the services for my husband, Benson. My family and I especially want to thank Lee. His love and empathy were overwhelming. He helped us every step of the way. It was an absolutely beautiful arrangement It couldn’t have been any nicer. There are no words to express how grateful our family is for the help Jim and his employees and I must include his wonderful wife Nancy for helping us make my father's funeral services so perfect in every way. My dad loved Jim and Nancy very much and trusted that Jim would grant his every wish and help to make things easy for us during the arrangement time. Jim was not only his undertaker but his friend as well. Thank you Jim, Nancy, Greg, Dom, Jack and everyone else associated with the Funeral home in making my dad's final wishes reality. He is now at peace with the Lord and not suffering any longer.
