Betty Frances Young

Betty Frances Young, 83, of Downingtown, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 15, 2020 at her home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Young, Sr., with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage at the time of this passing in 2003.

She loved bowling, crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family; especially her great grandchildren.

Betty was a member of the Downingtown Moose Lodge.

Mrs. Young is survived by her children, Raymond A., Jr. and his wife, Libby, of Cameron, West Virginia, Thomas Raymond, Sr., and Betsy Baker and her husband, Edward, all of Downingtown; grandchildren, Carol Lynn Young and Thomas R. Young, Jr. of Holden Beach, North Carolina, Matthew Baker and his wife, Holly, of Coatesville, and Erin Baker (Dan) of Downingtown; three great grandchildren, Christina, Lilly and Jacob; and siblings, Helen Pennel, Frank “Buck” Garress (Bev) of Mohnton, Mary Ann Scott of Coatesville, Darlene Painter (Clyde) of New Castle, Delaware, and Eugene Dietz (Peggy) and Richard Dietz, of Inverness, Florida.

A visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:45 am on Saturday, January 18th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where a funeral service will be held at 10 am with Rev. Jonathan Haas presiding. 

Interment will take place in Hephzibah Cemetery in Coatesville.
