Brendan Kirwan

Brendan Kirwan, 80, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at his home.

Born in County Offaly, Ireland, Brendan was the son of the late John Valentine and Elizabeth Kelly Kirwan.

Brendan was a Professional Irish Hurler competing in the National Hurling League for County Offaly. While in New York City playing a match at Gaelic Park, he met the love of his life, Mary Ward. Together, they shared 57 years of marriage until the time of Mary’s passing this past May.

He retired from the Carpenters Union as a Master Carpenter.

Mr. Kirwan is survived by his children, Kevin Kirwan, Thomas Kirwan, Stephen Kirwan (Lori) and Pauline March (Justin) and grandchildren, Josh, McKenna, Chase, Ryan, Maggie and Paul.

A morning visitation will be held on Friday, September 30th from 10 to 10:45 am at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Ave., Downingtown, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. 

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken.
