Caroline J. McKechnie

Caroline J. (Swithinbank) McKechnie, 77, of Honey Brook, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Hickory House, Honey Brook.

Born in Devon, England, Caroline was the daughter of the late Guy and Beryl Swithinbank. She was the wife of Bruce McKechnie.

Caroline moved to the United States at the age of 19, and began to work as a Nanny. The first family she worked for consisted of 6 children under the age of 6 years old! Later in life, Caroline was the Manager of the Mustard Seed Christian Bookstore in Broomall, PA. following that she handled the Church Curriculum for the chain. Caroline had been a member of Church of the Saviour in Wayne, PA for more than 40 years, and was a member of Proclamation Presbyterian Church in Bryn Mawr for the past year. In her free time, Caroline enjoyed crafting, playing Scrabble, and taking photos.

In addition to her husband, Caroline is survived by her brother, Mark Swithinbank.

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her siblings: Marion and Eden.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11 AM at Proclamation Presbyterian Church, 278 S. Bryn Mawr Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
