Cody Patrick Regan, 24, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021.  He was a son of Timothy and Dolores (Caulfield) Regan. Cody is survived by his parents, Tim and Dolores; brother, Michael and his fiancé Kelly; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Cody was born on January 1, 1997 in the Mariel Region of Russia. On June 16, 1999—after a whirlwind of planes, trains, and cabs—Cody arrived at his home on Pierce Lane in Downingtown with his parents, and was greeted by his brother, Michael. For the Regan family, June 16th is lovingly known as “Cody’s Special Day.”

After attending St. Joseph’s Elementary School, Cody went to Bishop Shanahan High School, where he played on the Shanahan Eagles baseball team and was a member of the Graduating Class of 2015. During his time at St. Joseph’s and Bishop Shanahan, Cody made numerous friends with whom he spent time doing many of the things he loved, including longboarding, skateboarding, and biking around Downingtown, playing golf at Ingleside Golf Club, and grabbing slices of pizza at Foster Boys or an energy drink at WaWa. Cody also enjoyed attending the prom and homecoming dances with his friends at Shanahan.

Cody lived a life that revolved around his many passions. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, and loved going to home games at The Linc with his family and friends, sitting in Section 228 and emphatically cheering on the Birds to the point that he left many games with virtually no voice. He also loved cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies (especially from the front row—shirtless and face-painted—with his cousins as the Phightin’s closed out the pennant race in ‘08).

Beyond his passion for Philadelphia sports, Cody also loved photography, particularly taking photos on his Nikon camera. He also enjoyed spending time on Long Beach Island, and on the golf course where he could show off his smooth left-handed swing.

Cody brought joy and smiles to countless people throughout his life, and the everlasting memories we have of the time spent with him provide solace and comfort as we mourn his untimely passing. Cody’s spirit and memory will continue to live on through these memories and in the lives of Cody’s loved ones.
