Corinne Faith Werndl

Corinne Faith Werndl, 85, of Coatesville, PA passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of William M. “Bill” Werndl, sharing almost 27 years of marriage.

Born in Mt. Carmel, PA on June 13, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Anna (Stephens) Repella. Corinne graduated in 1954 from Mt. Carmel High School where she  earned the Babe Ruth Medal playing baseball and was captain of her basketball team. She wanted to play football in high school, but the school would not allow her to play.  She went on to work as a Cosmetologist for 17 years, as well as Administrative Support in the computer industry. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and she was very active in her faith. In her years, Corinne loved the beach, skiing, dancing and traveling both internationally and within the United States. She had a love of flowers, Gardenia’s being her favorite, so she always enjoyed gardening. She called it “her therapy”. Corinne was a HUGE fan of the Eagles and you could hear her from near and far singing E-A-G-L-E-S!!  She loved to visit the casino with her sister and nieces and she always knew when she was about to hit the ROYAL. Corinne loved all of her cats dearly, but most of all, loved her family and adored her grandchildren. Her personality was infectious and you always enjoyed watching her being silly wherever she was. She was ALWAYS the life of the party, and loved playing pranks on people.  She was a special lady who will certainly be missed.

Surviving in addition to her husband Bill is a daughter Leslie Ann Boccio, wife of Anthony, a son Victor DiMarco, step-daughter Ashleigh South, wife of Brandon; grandchildren Liana, Anthony and Gia, and step-grandchildren McKenzie and Mitchell; a brother Phillip (Mousey) Repella, a sister Vivian Politza (Roman); and twenty-two nieces and nephews, whom she adored along with their children. She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters, 3 brothers.  Family meant everything to her in life.  

Friends and relatives are invited to Corinne’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church. Please bring along with you a fond memory that you have of Corinne to share with the family. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
