Donald T. Dockstader

Dr. Donald T. Dockstader, 81, passed away on November 28, 2022, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Exton. He was the husband of Judith Dockstader, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

Born in New York City, Don was the son of E. Kneale and S. Margaret Dockstader.  He graduated from Kennett High School, Dickinson College, and attended the University of Pennsylvania for Dentistry. After dental school, Don was a Captain in the United States Army stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky.  He returned to the Chester County area where he practiced dentistry in Exton, PA for over 30 years.

Don was a founding member of the Uwchlan Ambulance Corps, donated his time to the Chester County Community Volunteers in Medicine, was a board member of the Mountainside Marriott in Park City, Utah, and volunteered for Good Works of Chester County.

He enjoyed skiing, outdoor landscaping, puzzles, drawing, reading, studying the Bible, and loved serving people in need.  Don also spent a great deal of time helping family members with any and all home improvement projects. He will be remembered for his kind heart, willingness to serve those in need, and a smile that could light up the room.

Don is survived by his wife, Judy Dockstader; children, Kristen, wife of Dave Jensh, John, husband of Jeanine Dockstader, Kurtis, husband of Trudi Dockstader, and Matthew, husband of Nicole Dockstader; siblings, Margaret Seidel and James Dockstader; and grandchildren: Grace, Adam, Madison, Hannah, Ryan, Lily, Julia and Cooper. He was predeceased by his parents E. Kneale and S. Margaret Dockstader, and brother, Robert Dockstader.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Calvary Chapel, 217 Dowlin Forge Rd, Exton, PA, where family and friends will be received from 9:30 am until 10:45 am.  Interment will be held privately with the family.
