Elmeria D. Pasquini

Elmeria (Dompert) Pasquini, 88, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Paoli Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, Elmeria, was the daughter of the late Elmer and Catherine (Gallagher) Dompert and sister of late siblings Florence, Marie, and William. She graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia, PA. After high school Elmeria went on to work for Traveler's Insurance, Sears, and The Frank B. Hall Insurance Agency as a successful member of their Underwriting Team. She was married over 55 years to her late husband, Joseph A. Pasquini, Jr.

Elmeria was loved by many. She was known for her dedication to family and her Catholic faith. She loved her parish, St. Martin of Tours in Philadelphia where she was a member for over 50 years and volunteered for many years in their school as a Teacher Aide. Elmeria and her husband moved to Downingtown in the 1990's and she became a faithful member of St. Joseph's Parish. She continued working in center city Philadelphia at Frank B. Hall traveling by train from Whitford station to Philadelphia every day. After retiring she liked to attend daily Mass at St. Joseph's and joined a group of volunteers who served at St. Martha's Nursing Home.

Elmeria was committed to her family above all and spent most of her retirement with her grandchildren (Laura and Leah) attending every play, concert, award ceremony or sporting event that they were involved in. She is survived by her daughter Christa, wife of Paul Gebhard, and grandchildren: Laura Golden, wife of Ray, and Leah Hennessy, wife of Matt. She is also survived by sister-in-laws: Elaine Dompert and Santina Pasquini; brother-in-law Thomas Pasquini and many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

A visitation to honor her life will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 9:45-10:45 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Ave., Downingtown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Coatesville.

Memorial contributions in Elmeria’s name may be made to Marsh Creek Community Church.
