Genevieve A. Piliero

November 22, 1936 ~ April 5, 2021 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Genevieve Antoinette (Molle) Piliero passed away at the age of 84 on April 5, 2021. She was born in South Philadelphia on November 22, 1936 to the late Frank and Josephine (DiNote) Molle. She was married to Rocco F. Piliero for 60 years who preceded her in death in 2011. Genevieve moved to Roxborough where she lived for over 40 years and raised her family. She later moved to Hammonton and loved being there every day. She most recently moved further South, where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law.

Genevieve was a beloved mother to Frank A. Piliero (preceded by Sandy), Rocco P. Piliero, Lisa A. (Piliero) Curcio (Frank). Her son Peter James was born in July, 1964 leaving us too soon in November, 1964. She adored and fiercely loved all of her 12 grandchildren and spouses: Beth and Craig, Lisa and Brian, Susan and Greg, Donna and Brent, Frank Jr. And Leonor, Lauren and Rich, Kelsey and Kevin, Rocco and Michelle, Alison and Todd, Damian and Taryn, Mark and Deb, and Joe and Lisa.  She loved to tell everyone about all of her grandchildren and her face beamed when a great-grandchild was born or when she was speaking about all of her 24 great- grandchildren. Genevieve was thrilled to be a part of each and every one in her family. Her family was the most important part of her life and her day was complete when she talked to family on the phone or gave hugs and kisses to all of the grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Peter A Molle, DO and 3 loving and adoring nephews. The list of family and friends who were an integral part of her life could easily go on for days but she had plenty of love to go around for everyone. Everyone was family with mom.

Over the days, the comments from everyone have been overwhelming, thoughtful, and  loving which is a testament to the life she lived and the legacy she left behind.

Genevieve will be remembered for her amazing Sunday dinners that everyone looked forward to. She loved to bake and had every baking pan and utensil a person could ever want. She loved baking amazing delights for everyone including her infamous pop-overs or her orange cake or ricotta cookies.

Genevieve enjoyed volunteering in every Church each time she moved. Her devotion to God and her religion was extraordinary. It gave her inner strength in many areas of her life during her lifetime. Walking on the beach for hours was among her favorite past times. It rejuvenated her and walking was one of her favorite things to do. Genevieve often returned laughing that she forgot how far she walked and that she had to walk back.

Her laugh and smile were infectious and warmed everyone’s heart around her. She loved unconditionally, understood everyone, and always had the ability to forgive. Nothing was ever too much not matter how tired she was. Her style was impeccable and she always made dressing and fashion a work of art. Even after she left us, her nails were perfectly manicured and meticulous.

Many of you have shared so many good memories that have helped all of us smile and heal. She was beautiful both inside and outside. Genevieve will be remembered by many and loved by all.

She embraced life, lived it with a kind heart, had a strong, fierce mind, and a brave spirit. This is a woman that everyone cherished, held close to their hearts and are deeply saddened by her quick departure. Although, there would never be a time that would be ok for her to leave us, we know she will always be by our side and will never be forgotten. Genevieve is now our own personal angel who will always look over us and will continue to shine her love on all of us. Her memories will live in us forever.

We love you Mom, Gran, Gen! Rest in peace lovely lady!
