Grace Frances Murray, 90, of Coatesville, PA passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, March 29th, 2021, at Paoli Hospital, surrounded by family. The daughter of the late George Piasecki and Dorothy Helmsted, Grace was the wife of Francis Murray for 54 years until his death in 2012.

Anyone who knew Grace will remember her as a full-spirited, bold, and lively woman. Grace was often the life of the party, the centerpiece of lively conversations, and someone who made those around her smile and laugh by dancing and singing to her favorite tunes. Even in her later years, she had more energy than any 90 year old should. One fitting example: on a recent surprise visit from her grandson, who had tried to sneak out of the car and come in the backdoor, Grace’s eye caught “a hooligan” running across the yard, and thinking he was up to no good, matter-of-factly announced to the family that she was going to go “kick some ass.” Grace was 4’10”. Grace would often wear high heels to gain a few more inches, but despite her small stature, she had a massive heart. Consistently putting others before herself, Grace will always be remembered for giving everything she could to help her family.

Grace is survived by her brothers George Piasecki and Albert Piasecki, daughters Lori (Murray) Swearer (Kenneth Swearer) and Dorothy Murray, grandchildren McKayla Swearer (Colby Perry), Dayne Swearer, Jason Murray, Adele Rode, Keith Leach, Charles Leach, William MacBlain, Christian MacBlain, Patricia Gorman, Theresa Stage, Jessie Fox, and Jerry Fox.

Grace is preceded in death by her children, Patricia MacBlain and Jerry Fox, and her brother Harry Piasecki and husband Francis Murray.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 9:45-10:45 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, Inc., Downingtown.  It is kindly requested that all guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
