Joseph Thomas "Joe" Colburn

Joseph Thomas “Joe” Colburn, 66, of Downingtown, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Brandywine Hospital. He was the husband of Deborah (Wylie) Colburn, together for 45 years and sharing 23 of those married.

Born in Philadelphia on October 19, 1955, he was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Kelly) Colburn. Joe graduated from Salesianum Catholic High School. For over 30 years, he and his twin brother Billy owned and operated Colburn Brothers Garage on Boot Road. Earlier in his life he enjoyed drag racing and working on the cars with his nephew. He loved camping and his dogs, and always enjoyed his vacations to places like Hawaii, Aruba and Disney.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Kalin Rohrer, twin brother William F. Colburn, husband of Jane, sister-in-law Mary Colburn, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved German Shepherd, Mia. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Colburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 9-11 AM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. There will be no services following the viewing time, and the burial will be at the convenience of the family.
