Paul K. Hiser, 95, passed away peacefully at his home, Freedom Village, the morning of Thursday, August 1, 2019. He was the son of the late Hazen and Clara Hiser (nee Kohler) and loving husband to his wife, Adrianne Hiser (nee Volberding) for nearly 70 years of marriage.
Paul stayed very active throughout his life. He was involved with clubs like Black Hatters, Bridge Club, Bocce Club, and the American Legion, as well as sailing, golfing, camping, traveling, cribbage, gardening. Military survivor of the Battle of the Bulge, Purple Heart recipient, designed the nuclear engines for the Trident Submarines, nuclear reactors, Saturn S-IV rocket booster for the moon launch.
In addition to his wife, Adrianne, Paul is survived by his sibling, Barb Gerber (nee Hiser), children Hazen Hiser, Rondi Lavery (Joe), Todd Hiser (Denise), grandchildren Christopher Hiser (Dana), Andrew Hiser, Matthew Hiser, Eric Hiser, Stephanie Lavery and Kelli Lavery.
Paul is preceded in death by sisters Ruth and Ann.
A memorial service for Paul will be held Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Paul’s home, Freedom Village at Brandywine, 15 Freedom Blvd, West Brandywine Township, PA 19320 beginning at 11:00 AM (On the Fourth Floor Auditorium). A visitation will be held prior from 10:00 – 10:45 AM.
