Richard James Allen

Richard James Allen, 79, of Coatesville, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. He was the husband of Sheryl (Geist) Allen, sharing 9 years of marriage. 

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph Benton and Marie Helen (Johnson) Allen. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army, a volunteer at Bryn Mawr Fire Company and East Brandywine Fire Company and retired from PECO after 30+ years of service as a Fire Instructor. 

Surviving in addition to his wife are children Michael Allen and Fiancée Noelle Hillman, Marcia Thurston and husband Mark, Matthew Allen and wife Nicole, and stepsons David Wilds and Christopher Wilds. He was blessed with six grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
