Roger H. Haines

Roger H. Haines, 65, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Chester County Hospital with his family by his side.

Born in Coatesville on December 18, 1956, he was the son of the late William and Florence (Dean) Haines. Roger graduated from Coatesville High School with the class of 1974. He went on to work in Shipping & Receiving for Wire and Cable Specialties in Coatesville. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Roger enjoyed karaoke and country music, and was a big Philadelphia Sports fan.

Surviving is his daughter Rebecca Lee Haines; siblings Barry Haines, husband of Phyllis, Brian Haines, husband of Laurie, Deborah Haines; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughters Sarah Elizabeth Haines and Emily Marie Haines, and brothers William Haines and Robert Haines.

Relatives and friends are welcome to a visitation on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM at James Terry Funeral Home, 736 E Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335; as well as the burial the following day on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 9 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 1107 Glenside Road, Downingtown, PA 19335. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to KTA Funding Hope Foundation, 200 Berwyn Park, 920 Cassatt Rd, Suite 205, Berwyn, PA 19312. Roger’s daughter Emily, through her work at Kistler-Tiffany Advisors, served on the board of this Charitable Foundation.
