            Rose B. Cain, 93, formerly of Downingtown, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Pocopson Home. She was the wife of the late William W. Cain, Sr.

            Born in Nanty Glo, PA, Cambria County, on June 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo James and Angeline (Cozzone) Biondi. Rose, affectionately known as Mom Mom Rose to many students, worked as a Cafeteria Manager and Head Cook for the Downingtown School District for 35 years, retiring at the age of 77. She enjoyed watching football and baseball, especially the Phillies, and most importantly, loved spending time with her grandchildren.

            Surviving are her children Elaine Patterson, wife of John, of West Lafayette, IN, Bill Cain, husband of Marian, of Reading, PA, Maureen Thomas of Phoenixville, PA; grandchildren Lauren Patterson, Daniel Patterson (Kelcey), Allison Cain, Abigail Rutt (Travis), Amanda Cain, Ariane Cain, Bryan MacIntyre (Kelly) and Karen MacIntyre; great grandchildren Emma, Liam, Becca, Brayden, Maya and Logan. She was preceded in death by her 9 month old daughter Gail Cain, and siblings Harry Biondi, Frank Biondi and Adelida (Dee Dee) Rhoades.

            Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Viewing will be held from 10 to 10:45 am prior to the mass at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Downingtown.
