Sabatino G. "Satch" Talucci

Sabatino G. “Satch” Talucci, age 80, of Downingtown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2021, at University of Penn.  He was the husband of Geraldine A. (DiFerdinando) Talucci, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Downingtown, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond and Frances (Cook) Talucci.  Satch graduated from Bishop Shanahan in 1959.  He worked as a carpenter for GO Carlson, Inc. and retired in 2002 after 29 dedicated years.

Satch was an officer and member of the St. Anthony’s Lodge, where he was on the committee for the Amphibious Order of Frogs.  He belonged to the VFW Post 845 in Downingtown, VFW Post in Saxton and American Legion Post 126 in Broad Top City.  Satch was a member of the Saxton Sportsman’s Club, Italian Society of Kennett Square and Cornog Trout Club of Downingtown.  He was a life member of the Thorndale Fire Company.  Satch was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a proud member of the Crossroads Hunt Club.  He was a former coach for Downingtown Little League and was the equipment manager for the Little Whippets.  After retirement, Satch was a regular at the Coffee Cup.  Satch was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Downingtown.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine; children, Michael (Leigh Taylor), David B. (Debra Weston), James R. (Tammy Weston) and Teresa S.; 2 brothers, Raymond Talucci, Jr. and Vincent Talucci, both of Downingtown; and 3 grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicholas and Samantha.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA, where family and friends may visit from 9:45 am until 10:45 am.  Interment will be held privately.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions all attendees are required to wear a mask or facial covering and maintain social distancing.  Mass will be available through livestream by clicking the link at the top of this page.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Satch’s memory to St. Anthony’s Lodge, Attn: Scholarship Fund, 259 Church St, Downingtown, PA 19335.
