He is preceded in death by his parents Harold (Stepmother Marion) Wichmann; Corrine Goings; Brothers Karl and Allen, Sister In-law Jo-Ann; and good friend Rick.

Steven learned his career right from High School completing at DeVry University 4 years of Electronics training in just 2 years. Graduating with a Degree from DeVry University, Steve felt that entering the United States Air Force was the right thing to do, serving the next 4 years teaching his craft to Airman at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois. After serving in the Military he sought out employment at Burroughs Electronics in Chicago that ultimately became Unisys Electronics Company. Steve started out as a technician advancing to Computer Analyst that took him around the world solving the most sophisticated computer equipment issues. A few places he could tell us traveled, were China, London, Israel, Amsterdam, Seattle, and Miami. It seems like there was not a place he hadn’t been to for his work. He retired from a life of labor he loved and never lost the travel and nature bug. Taking trips alone or with friends to Ireland, New Zealand, Canada and crisscrossing the United States to name a few. Steven was passionate in everything he set his mind to. Some of us just called it stubborn Hungarian from building his home, yard maintenance, the meticulous way of doing things, and to his views in politics. Everyone knew where he stood and what he wanted. Steve was one of the most gracious and compassionate human beings you could ever meet. (Except for all the fly swatters and Repel, he had his limits.) It was his nature to find the positive and heck with the gloom and doom. Even with his cancer disease, it was his desire not to be a burden and verbally appreciated sincerely… those that took the time to comfort him. He was used to being the one giving not the one in need.

A private family memorial will be held to Stevens’ wishes and his ashes to be spread in some woods with a water view. This is where he can forever be part of the world he enjoyed.
