Theresa S. Hopkins, 83, of Glenmoore, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald P. Hopkins, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2014.
Born in Philadelphia, Theresa graduated from West Catholic High School and Antioch College. She went on to pioneer the stress management program at Friends Hospital, and later consulted for Camphill Soltane.Theresa’s unshakeable faith and devotion to the Blessed Mother guided her throughout her life.
Theresa’s passion was her family and she will be missed by her eight children, Gerald T.; Laura Saraco and her husband, Joseph; John P. and his wife, Carol; Judith A. Mayo; Thomas J. and his wife, Patricia; Patrick J. and his wife, Lisa M.; Helene T. Lawler and her husband, Jack; and Theresa M. Hopkins; a brother, James McGlone, and two sisters, Helen “Honey” Leonhardt and Patricia Duffy and her husband James. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, Maureen, Cara, Dana, Christine, John Patrick, Andrew, Matthew, Sarah, Bob, Jessica, Brendan, Grace and her husband Pi, Daniel, Grant, Emma, Ethan, William, Alice, Ryan, Jared, Evan, Conner, Baba, and Sean, and by one great-granddaughter, Clara. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Helen (McNamee) McGlone; her sisters, Dorothy and Maureen, and her brother Jack.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2021 at St. Elizabeth
Catholic Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs. Family and friends will be received from 8:45-9:45 a.m.
IT IS REQUESTED BY THE FAMILY THAT ALL WHO ATTEND THE VIEWING AND
MASS SHOULD BE VACCINATED AND ARE ASKED TO WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES
WHILE AT THE CHURCH.
Interment will be private with the family in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken.
