Tina Marie Watson, 62, of Downingtown, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of Earl Watson III, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage, and two children, Carlena and Zack Watson.
Born in West Chester, Tina was the daughter of Lena Rose Mammarella and the late Carlo Arthur DiOttavio.
She was a graduate of Downingtown High School in the Class of 1975 and attended Temple University for Court Recording.
While working as a Legal Secretary in Center City Philadelphia, Tina first met Earl on the train during their commutes. She also spent many years working as a waitress/bartender at King’s Highway Inn in Thorndale, where she made many lifelong friends.
Prior to retiring, Tina was a beloved Teacher’s Aide for 2nd grade and kindergarten, for 15 years at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Elementary School in Downingtown.
Post retirement, Tina and Earl enjoyed traveling, spending time on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, and kicking back on their deck with some country music and refreshing beverages.
This past October, they celebrated 30 years of marital bliss in Nashville, Tennessee. Tina preferred to keep things simple and enjoyed spending her time with the people who meant the most to her.
She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend whose contagious laughter and radiant smile will be missed by all.
In addition to her husband Earl, daughter Carlena, and son Zack, Tina is survived by her sister, Rose DiOttavio, and mother, Lena DiOttavio.
An evening visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28th from 4 to 6 pm at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.
A morning visitation will be held on Monday, June 29th from 9:45 to 10:45 am at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave, Downingtown, where Tina’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 am.
For the safety and protection of the family and those in attendance, the family will be receiving their guests while maintaining social distance and wearing face coverings.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
