William Francis Connor, Jr, 92, of Coatesville, passed away on May 13, 2020 at Freedom Village, Coatesville, PA.

He was born to our grandparents William F. and Marie S. Connor, Sr. on September 1, 1927, Coatesville, PA. After serving in the Army, Dad attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy on the GI Bill, now known as The University of the Sciences. While working at his Uncle’s pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA he met and married our Mom, Barbara M. Connor in 1954. They were married 65 years, having raised their six children in both Berwyn and Wayne, where Bill and his brother owned and operated Connor’s Pharmacy in both communities from 1954 until he retired in 1998. Mom and Dad then moved to Freedom Village in Coatesville where they enjoyed many friendships.

Dad was dedicated to his profession and was a part of the community fabric in Wayne and Berwyn, always willing to take a call at home for an emergency prescription that needed to be filled. He taught us all the value of customer service, attention to detail, and the satisfaction of a job well done.

Dad was an inspiration to all of us, devoted to our Mom, always ready with a smile, lovable, generous and warm-hearted. Mom passed away only two months ago.

Dad was predeceased by his brother Charles J. and sister Joan. Dad is survived by his six children, William (Susan) of Berwyn, PA, Martin (Gwenyth) of Topsfield, MA, Suzanne Frederick (Anthony, deceased) of Coatesville, PA, Nannette Calnan (John) of Cochranville, PA, Adrienne O’Connor (Jeffrey) of Baltimore, MD, and Marianne Gonzaga (Bruce) of Coatesville, PA, Sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
